Pṛthivīte āche yata nagarādi grāma sarvatra pracāra haibe mora nāma
“In every town and village, the chanting of My name will be heard.”
(Caitanya-Bhāgavata, Antya Lila 4.126)
In line with the instructions of our honorable Acharya, every congregational devotee must become active in distributing Caitanya Mahaprabhu’s mercy. Congregational preaching can penetrate every home and reach every person, thereby watering the seeds planted by book distribution, cultivating all contacts made through positive encounters. ISKCON Pakistan’s Vice President & Sankirtan Leader H.G Ram Sakha Das, initiated vigorous preaching plan implementation in the territory of Balochistan, Pakistan. It was the first time that the activities agenda was on such a big scale. The entire yatra was being supported by a very active member in terms of traveling and coordination, His Grace Sunjay Dasa (Temple President Khuzdar, Balochistan). His tour was scheduled from May 17, 2021, to June 10, 2021.
The following activities are carried out in different cities such as Khuzdaar, Nushki, Quetta, Mastung, etc.
Harinama Sankirtana, Discourses & Festivity
Every day His Grace Ram Sakha Prabhu visited different places and in each place he tried to share the Glories of the holy name, discourses, book distribution, as well as Krishna Prasadams, which were arranged by local enthusiastic devotees. Regular Bhagavad teaching morning & evening programs, home preaching interactions were held to enlighten attendees about bona fide devotional service practices. Besides these, Sri Narsimha Chaturthi was celebrated and other back-to-back Ekadashi programs were being organized. Good views about the association of His Grace Ram Sakha Das were also received.
Temple Projects Conference.
Fire sacrifice (Yajna) was performed and Tele-conferencing was being coordinated between regional supervisor HG Shyamanadanda Krishna Prabhu and HG Sanjay Dasa for two ambitious temple projects underway in establishment and initiations.
Youth and Teens Coaching
Mr. Ajeet Kumar the Vice President of Gurukula Pathshala arranged a training session and Sankirtana which uplifted the vibes of participants. Attendees were taught how to chant the holy names on Japa beads so that they could do it properly. In the future, they will start Bhagavad Gita and Hindi learning.
Vaishnava Etiquette Training Sessions
The special training session was being organized on Vaishnava etiquettes for devotees.
During the visit, devotees received books (Bhagavad Gita As It Is, Civilization and Transcendence) by HG Ram Sakha Das and a request made so in next visit Sankirtana leader could perform his one of the responsibility more efficient way.
The overall impression by devotees living out there was positive and inspirational. They were insisting on spending more time with the Sankirtana leader. As per geographic location and cultural impact, Baluchistan’s majority population is Sikh, following the Guru Granth Sahib scripture. This was the first time they ever experienced extensive propagation of the Sanatan dharma message via a bonafide representative from ISKCON Pakistan.
Much thanks goes to HG Sunjay Das, Shanti Krishna Das, HG Rohininandan das, HG Esana das, Akshay Vishal, Vijay, and Mahendar for their incredible arrangements of programs and coordination across the tour of Balochistan, leading to phenomenal success. These leaders and supporters living out in Balochistan are very determined to engage each and every person, and hence are asked for constant guidance and on-site facilitation by HG Ram Sakha Prabhu.
To awaken conditioned souls to their eternal position as a servitor of the Lord, preachers meet with many adventures and challenges. In this context, we proposed the following recommendations to management to overcome obstacles:
- Printed Books Availability: The Sankirtan Leader wants to have a stock of books so that he can distribute them to aspiring devotees and visitors.
- Development of Balochistan outreach communication channels
- Pakistan Sankirtana Party Team formation
- Outreach Team Whats app group formation
- Arrangement of Sankirtana Van
We hope by the mercy of Sri Sri Gaura-Nitai we continue engaging, tirelessly spreading and preaching Krishna Consciousness massively, as that will make a difference, seeing the huge potential in the territory of Balochistan, Pakistan.
